In its original frame that once hung in Yankee Stadium, this 20” x 16” black and white photo picturing Lou Gehrig, Joe McCarthy and Grover Whalen who was President of the NY World’s Fair Corporation and the Official Greeter of NYC. The trio were together at a luncheon held for the NY Yankees on the grounds of the Worlds Fair. The printed caption reads, “Luncheon to the NY Yankees Oct 3, 1938 NY World’s Fair. The luncheon was held the day after the 1938 season ended celebrating the Yankees winning their third consecutive pennant. The frame shows some wear, photo appears EX overall.
