This uniform originates from the Appling family. 1982 was the first Cracker Jack game during which Luke Appling hit a monstrous home run off of Warren Spahn which put the game itself on the map. This uniform was worn the following year. Inside the rear collar is the “Rawlings” flag tag with size “46”. Across the front is “AMERICAN”. On back is number “4” along with “APPLING” on a white nameplate. All numbers and letters are done in red screen print. On the left sleeve is “Rawlings” done in the same red screen print. On the right sleeve is the “Cracker Jack Old Timers Baseball Classic” screened on patch. There are no manufacturer’s tags in the matching pants. On the left leg is the Rawlings screened on “R” logo. The jersey is properly tagged, was presented to us as worn in the Cracker Jack Old Timers game and in our opinion, show light use.
