We all remember Jack Bucks call, “I don’t believe what I just saw!!!”. Those words described Kirk Gibson’s historic 1988 World Series home run off Dennis Eckersley, rounding first base, limping on one leg and fist pumping to immortality. This was Orel’s personal copy of the A’s scouting report which states on the “Eckersley” page, “*Likes to backdoor slider to LH hitters with 3-2 count”...and the rest as they say, is history. Other pages have hand-written notes from Orel on specific hitters, EX-NM condition. Accompanied by a LOA from Orel Hershiser.
