5-3/4” x 5-3/4” letter on Julie Nixon stationery, daughter of President Richard M. Nixon. The letter is folded in half to fit into the 6” x 3” envelope. The hand-written letter is addressed to Mr. Paul Keyes and dated February 13, 1964. Julie writes the letter thanking Mr. Keyes for arranging seats for her for a taping of the “The Ed Sullivan Show” four days prior in which Ms. Nixon, along with 77 million viewers at home, saw The Beatles perform live. She writes, “It was such a thrill to see the Beatles in person! Our seats were lovely, and when they introduced the Gold Medal Winner of the Olympics - I realized that he was sitting in front of me, and therefore I knew what great seats we had. It was such fun to see the reactions of the teenagers, and the Beatles deserve the praise they’ve received. I really think they [were] great - it’s amazing that they can sing through all the screaming! Thank you so much, Julie.” The letter is in NRMT condition and is accompanied by a LOA from JSA.
