Hall of Famer Wilt “The Stilt” Chamberlain (deceased) is easily the most accomplished player in NBA history. The term game changer applies directly to Wilt, forcing the NBA to make rule changes including; widening the lane to keep him and future big men further away from the basket. Even more astounding is Wilt’s regular season point scoring record of 4,029 points. To put that number into perspective, Michael Jordan is the only other NBA player to even break the 3,000 point barrier in the regular season. His accolades are endless, and legend timeless. Off white canvas sneakers modeled after Converse Chuck Taylor All-Star which bear a “Lakers” yellow rubberized logo on the outer back of each sole. The bottom of each shoe is stamped with “MADE IN USA”, as well as “PROFESSIONAL BASKETBALL”. Inside the outer ankle of each shoe is stamped with “WASHABLE MADE IN USA” then a few digits and or numbers which cannot be made out. Stamped below this is code “5C3634T” two digits crossed out with “15” written in marker possibly indicating size. The shoes show wear, and besides the above mentioned they show no alterations of any kind. Lot is accompanied by a copy of an LOA which reads “The shoes were sourced in a bulk purchase of game jerseys, warm-ups and practice gear from Wilt’s assistant, Dewey Alexander, circa 1980-81.
