This award is made of wood and brass features a base that measures 10” x 15” and weighs 2.75 pounds. It was presented to Hall of Famer Vern Mikkelsen in 1962 for his participation in an Old Timers game as part of the NBA All-Star Game at Kiel Auditorium in St. Louis. An engraved plaque at the top reads, “VERN MIKKELSEN - FOR HIS CONTRIBUTION TO PRO BASKETBALL - PRESENTED - 12TH NBA ALL-STAR GAME - ST. LOUIS, MO. - JAN. 16, 1962”. The trophy features two stars along with a brass basketball player which has been repaired at the ankles. The trophy is in EX condition and is accompanied by a LOA from Vern Mikkelsen.

This lot is part of the personal collection of MPLS Laker great and Hall of Famer Vern Mikkelsen.
