Calvin Murphy attended Niagara University, where he was a three-time All-American. He scored 2,548 points in 77 games. In 1970, he led Niagara to the NCAA tournament and advanced to the second round. During his career he was famous for being one of "The Three M's," along with Pete Maravich and Rick Mount, both of whom were NCAA Men's Division I Basketball All-Americans at the same time as Murphy. On the left front tail is the “Wilson” manufacturer’s tag with wash instructions and jersey size “36”. Across the front is “NIAGARA”. Player number “23” appears on both the front and back. All these numbers and letters are done in white on yellow tackle twill. The name has been removed from the back. Murphy’s teammates have both signed and printed their names on the twill on both sides of the shirt rating an overall 7. Names include Peter Aiello, Mike Whalen, Mike Samuel (#32 inscription), R. Marshall Wingate, Wayne Jones (#44 inscription), Ed Street (#33), Orlander Harrison, Mike Brown, Bob “Yogi” Churchwell (#53 inscription), Paul Thornton, Lynn Gray, Stephen Schafer, Dennis Kachovec and Allan Gray (manager). The jersey is properly tagged, was presented to us as game-used and in our opinion, shows excellent use. Accompanied by a LOA from JSA as well as a LOA from Calvin Murphy.
