After completing his studies at Oxford, Bill Bradley returned to the U.S. to join the New York Knicks. In 1969–70, he helped the Knicks win their first NBA championship, followed by a second in 1972–73. His first NBA title also made him the first player ever to win an Olympic gold medal, a European Champions Cup, and an NBA championship ring. Retiring from basketball in 1977, he was elected to the Basketball Hall of Fame in his first year of eligibility. In 1984 the Knicks retired his number “24” jersey. He later went on to a long and successful political career. On the left front tail is the “Sand-Knit” manufacturer’s tag with wash instructions and jersey size “44”. Directly above is the “Gerry Cosby” distributor’s tag. Across the front is “NEW YORK”. Player number “24” appears on both the front and back. All these numbers and letters are done in orange on blue tackle twill. Player name “BRADLEY” appears on back in blue tackle twill block letters. The jersey is properly tagged, was presented to us as game-used and in our opinion, shows outstanding use.
