After winning championships in high school and college, Earvin "Magic" Johnson was selected first overall in the 1979 NBA Draft by the Lakers. He won a championship and an NBA Finals MVP Award in his rookie season, and won four more championships with the Lakers during the 1980s. Magic was a member of the "Dream Team", the U.S. basketball team that won the Olympic gold medal in 1992. He was honored as one of the 50 Greatest Players in NBA History in 1996 and enshrined in the Basketball Hall of Fame in 2002. Inside the rear collar is the “MacGregor Sand-Knit” manufacturer’s tag with size “42” along with the “Sand-Knit Designed & Tailored Exclusively for Los Angeles Lakers”. Adjacent are four strip tags, “87”, “32”, “2”LB” and a blank tag. On the left chest is the team embroidered patch. On the right chest is the official NBA embroidered logo. On back is player name “JOHNSON” in yellow on white tackle twill. Magic has signed the front in gold marker rating a 6. The warm-up jacket is properly tagged, was presented to us as worn and in our opinion, shows wear. Accompanied by a LOA from JSA.
