Inside the rear collar is the “Wilson” manufacturer’s tag with player number “23” written in black ink. Attached is the size “48” label. There was a felt strip tag removed. Across the front is “NEW YORK” done in navy blue felt. On back is number “2” and the outline of number “3”, player number “23”. The “2” was removed and reattached and the “3” has been removed. The Babe Ruth armband was removed from the left sleeve. The jersey is properly tagged, was presented to us as game-used and in our opinion, shows appropriate use. It was worn in 1946 then recycled through the organization. Other than what is mentioned, there appear to be no further alterations of any kind.
