Amazingly enough, Thurman Munson is the only Yankee ever to win both the Rookie of the Year and Most Valuable Player awards. He led the Bronx Bombers to back to back Championships in 1977 and 1978. The Captain’s number “15” was retired by the Yankees and resides in Monument Park. Inside the rear collar is the “ALADEN” manufacturer’s tag with attached hanging chain. Below is “15 MUNTZ” written in black marker. On the left chest is the team interlocking “NY” logo which shows extensive wear. On the left sleeve is the team “Top Hat” embroidered logo. The jacket is properly tagged, was presented to us as worn and in our opinion, shows good wear.
