Vida Blue won the American League Cy Young award and Most Valuable Player Award in 1971. He is a six-time all-star, a three-time World Series Champion and is one of only four pitchers in major league history to start the all-star game for both the American League and the National League. On the left front tail is the “McAuliffe” manufacturer’s tag. Directly below are two labels, “70” and “42” indicating the jersey year and size, respectively. On the left chest is the team “A’s” logo which has been restored. Player number “35” appears on both the front and back. All these numbers and letters are done in green on gold tackle twill. Player name “BLUE” appears on back in green tackle twill. The name on back has been restored. The jersey is properly tagged, was presented to us as game-used and in our opinion shows appropriate use. Other than what is mentioned, there appear to be no further alterations of any kind.
