Reginald Martinez Jackson was nicknamed "Mr. October" for his clutch hitting in the postseason. Jackson won five consecutive American League West divisional pennants, three consecutive American League pennants and two consecutive World Series titles as a member of the Oakland Athletics from 1971 to 1975. He was elected to the Hall of Fame in 1993. On the left front tail of this green mist road jersey is the “McAuliffe” manufacturer’s tag. Below are the year “71” and size “44” tags. On the left chest is the team “A’s” logo. Player number “9” appears on both the front and back. All these numbers and letters are done in green on yellow tackle twill. Player name “JACKSON” appears across the back in green tackle twill block letters. The jersey is properly tagged, was presented to us as game-used and in our opinion, shows excellent use. We were told by our consignor that this vest was originally sourced from the team bus driver. All original and magnificent.
