Phil Niekro's 318 career victories are the most by a knuckleball pitcher. He won the National League Gold Glove Award five times and was inducted into the Hall of Fame in 1997. On the left front tail is the “Wilson” manufacturer’s tag with wash instructions and jersey size “42”. Inside the rear collar is a strip tag with “Niekro 1968 Set 3” embroidered in black chain stitch. Across the front is “Braves”. Player number “35” appears on back which appear to been professionally restored. All these numbers and letters are done in blue tackle twill. On the left sleeve is the team “Brave head” embroidered patch. Niekro has signed the front in blue marker rating an 8-9. The jersey is properly tagged, was presented to us as game-used and in our opinion shows appropriate use. Accompanied by a LOA from JSA. Other than what is mentioned, there appear to be no further alterations of any kind.
