This is a one year style road flannel jersey and the only one known that we know of. Inside the rear collar is the “MacGregor” manufacturer’s tag with size “46”. Below is a felt strip tag with player name “Wheat” embroidered in red chain stitch. Inside the left front tail is the “Pearson” distributor’s tag. Inside the right tail is the “SET 2 1954” flag tag. Across the front is “Athletics”. Player number “40” appears on back. All numbers and letters are done in blue chain stitch on red felt. The jersey is properly tagged, was presented to us as game-used and in our opinion, shows appropriate use. All original, immaculate condition.
