Orel pitched Game 5 of the 1995 World Series in Cleveland holding the Atlanta Braves potent lineup held in check. Orel went eight innings, only surrendering two runs and earning the victory. This jersey comes to us from Orel Hershiser. On the left front tail is the “Russell” manufacturer’s tag with wash instructions and jersey size “46”. Attached are two flag tags with “100% Polyester” and “4” Extra Length”. Adjacent is the year “95” label which is heavily faded. Across the front is “Indians”. Player name “55” appears on back along with player name “HERSHISER” which appears on a white nameplate. All numbers and letters are done in red on navy tackle twill. On the left sleeve is the Chief Wahoo patch. On the right sleeve is the “1995 World Series” patch along with Russell embroidered “R” logo. The WS patch was sewn over the Jacobs Field patch. Inside the waistband of the matching pants is the same “Russell” tag with size “35” and flag tags “100% Polyester” and “H-CUT”. Adjacent is a white label with “55 35-33-95” along with player number “55” written in black marker. The uniform is properly tagged, was presented to us as game-used and in our opinion, shows appropriate use. Accompanied by a LOA from Orel Hershiser. Other than what is mentioned, there appear to be no further alterations of any kind.
