The United States entered the 1963 Pan American Games in Sao Paulo, Brazil, with the goal of winning the USA's fourth gold medal in as many tries. Winning six games by an average margin of almost 30 points, the USA successfully defended its championship, captured the gold medal, and extended its Pan American Games winning streak to 15 consecutive games. On the left front tail is the “Wilson” manufacturer’s tag with attached flag tag “42+3”. Across the front is “U.S.A.”. Player number “6” appears on both the front and back. All numbers and letters are done in blue on red satin. Inside the rear waistband of the matching shorts is the “Wilson” tag with attached size “32” flag tag. At the lower left leg is the “1963 USA PAN AMERICAN GAMES” patch. The uniform is properly tagged, was presented to us as game-used and in our opinion, shows appropriate use. Accompanied by a Mel Gibson LOA.
