Dick Harp became the Kansas Jayhawks' fourth men's basketball coach in 1957. He coached for eight years until 1964. Harp's overall Kansas record was 121-82 (.596) and conference record was 53-45. Inside the rear collar is the “LAM-MAR” manufacturer’s tag with attached size “42” flag tag. At the left chest is “Coach Harp” embroidered in red chain stitch. The inner linking shows some separation and tearing. at the rear inner collar. There is some staining on front. The jacket is properly tagged, was presented to us as worn and in our opinion, shows wear. Pair of nearly identical red banners with blue felt trim, each measuring 48” x 54”. Each has the team “K” at the center on front done in blue felt. The first has “Big Six Champions 1940” and “Basketball” embroidered and the second has “Co-Captain Basketball”. All embroidery is done in blue chain stitch on a red swatch. They are each NM with no rips or stains.
