After a brief stint as an assistant coach at North Carolina, Hall of Famer Larry Brown joined the upstart American Basketball Association and played for different teams including the Denver Rockets in 1971–72. Brown was named MVP of the ABA's first All-Star Game in 1968, and was named to the All-ABA Second Team the same year. Brown led the ABA in assists per game during the league's first three seasons, and when he ended his playing career, Brown was the ABA's all-time assist leader. His total of 2,509 assists places him seventh on the ABA's career list, and he holds the ABA record for assists in a game with 23. On the left front tail is the “Sand-Knit” manufacturer’s tag with wash instructions and size “42”. Above is the “Designed & Tailored Exclusively for the Denver Rockets” tag. Across the front is “DENVER”. Player number “11” appears on both the front and back. All these numbers and letters are done in yellow on white tackle twill. Player name “BROWN” appears across the back in white tackle twill on a lavender nameplate. The jersey is properly tagged, was presented to us as game-used and in our opinion, shows outstanding use.
