The Playoff Bowl was a postseason game for third place in the NFL, played ten times following the 1960-69 seasons. This ball dates to the final Playoff Bowl held on January 3, 1970. Official “Wilson” manufactured “The Duke” football with commissioner Pete Rozelle’s facsimile signature. The ball features the “Thorp Sporting Goods” logo and is stamped “THE DUKE” on the opposite panel. The football is properly stamped, was presented to us as game-used and in our opinion shows appropriate use. The ball is in EX condition, does not hold air, and is accompanied by a LOA that states that this is “the actual ball that Roman Gabriel threw to Jack Snow for a 29-yard touchdown in the fourth quarter.”
