The Army-Navy Game has been held annually since 1890. In 1960, the Navy Midshipmen, led by Heisman Trophy-winning quarterback Joe Bellino, defeated the Army Black Knights 17-12. This “Spalding” manufactured Collegiate autograph football has been signed by 31 members of the 1960 Navy Midshipmen football team. One panel of the ball has been hand-painted in blue and yellow to read “1960 - NAVY 17 - ARMY 12” along with the “N” logo. Signatures include Victor Meyer, Art Maynard, Ray Morelli, Jim Stewart, Ron Erchul, Harry Dietz, Leon “Red” Romo (trainer), Allen “Kid” Driscoll, Stephen Hoy, Frank Dattilo, Ron McKeown, John Zenyuh, Jim Luper, Phil Henderson, Rod MacDonald, Hal Spooner, Ron Klemick, Greg Mather, John Conroy, Gary Kellner, Joe Matalavage and Vern Von Sydow. The autographs are all done in blue ink except for Romo which is in black marker. The signatures rate a 7 overall, the ball is in EX condition, holds air. Accompanied by a LOA from JSA.
