This jersey is tagged 2002 but was worn in 2004 by Palmer. It is customary to hold stock shirts over, even for two seasons. This was the last year of this style shirt before the team changed the design. Our original consignor when we first auctioned this shirt in 2009 told us that this jersey was worn in training camp 2004 by Carson Palmer and was the very first gamer he wore as a rookie. On the left front tail is the "Reebok" manufacturers tag with the size"48" and "4" L.B." flag tags attached. Inside the rear collar is a strip tag with "02-48." Player number "9" appears on the front, back and on both shoulders in black on orange tackle twill. Across the back is the player name "PALMER" in black on orange tackle twill on a white name plate. The jersey features custom sleeves with an elastic spandex hem. On each sleeve below the player number is the "Reebok" embroidered logo with adjacent “BENGALS” logo patch. At the V-neck is the official "NFL Equipment" logo shield. The jersey is properly tagged, was presented to us as game-used and in our opinion, shows appropriate use.
