Nate Colbert was the first real star for the Padres and is the San Diego Padres all-time home run leader with 163. He was elected to three All-Star teams including 1973. Inside the rear collar is the “Wilson” manufacturer’s tag with wash instructions and jersey size “42”. At the left front tail is a strip tag with “17 73” embroidered in brown chain stitch indicating the player number and jersey year, respectively. Across the front is “SAN DIEGO”. Player number “17” appears on back. All numbers and letters are done in brown tackle twill. The jersey is properly tagged, was presented to us as game-used and in our opinion, shows excellent use.
