Mariano Rivera is without question, the greatest closer of all time. Some would argue that he was the most irreplaceable cog of the Yankees Dynasty of the mid 1990’s to early 2000’s. His career speaks for itself and is destined for Cooperstown. This glove was worn by Mo at Yankee Stadium on May 25, 2011 during his 1,000th game as a NY Yankee, a 7-3 victory over the Blue Jays. “Nike Diamond Elite” glove, all black with white embroidery. On the outer thumb is “Mariano Rivera PHIL 4:13” embroidered. On the outer wrist is player number “42” embroidered with adjacent MLB hologram “FJ 493343”. Mo has signed the outer fingers of the glove adding the inscription “1,000 game as a Yankee Game Used 5-25-11” rating a 6-7 with light smudging. The glove was presented to us as game-used and in our opinion, shows appropriate use. Accompanied by a LOA from Steiner as well as a LOA from JSA.
