Vida Blue won the American League Cy Young Award and MVP Award in 1971. He is a six-time All-Star, three-time World Champion (all with the A’s) and is one of only four pitchers in major league history to start the All-Star Game for both the American and National Leagues. At the center front tail is the “McAuliffe” manufacturer’s tag. Adjacent are three additional labels, “42”, “1976” and a wash instructions label. At the left chest is the team “A’s” logo. Player number “14” appears on back. All these numbers and letters are done in green on white tackle twill. Player first name “VIDA” appears across the back in green tackle twill. At the left sleeve is the Bicentennial patch. Vida has signed both the front and back of the shirt in blue marker adding the inscription “#14” on back rating a 6-7. The jersey is properly tagged, was presented to us as game-used and in our opinion, shows appropriate use. Accompanied by a LOA from JSA.
