These items were originally sourced from Rocky Nelson. This watch was presented to Glenn “Rocky” Nelson in 1953 after being selected as the Most Valuable Player of the International League while he was a member of the Montreal Royals, the top AAA farm club for the Brooklyn/Los Angeles Dodgers. Nelson was also chosen as the MVP of the International league in 1955. “LONGINES” manufactured watch. The verso of the watch has been engraved with “INTERNATIONAL LEAGUE GLENN NELSON MOST VALUABLE PLAYER 1953”. The watch is in VG-EX condition overall. The bat has “1960 WORLD SERIES 25TH ANNIVERSARY JUNE 15, 1985 OLD TIMERS DAY” stamped into the barrel face along with Nelson’s facsimile signature and “PITTSBURGH PIRATES”. The bat is EX-NM overall.
