The 1934 Major League Baseball All-Star Game was the second playing of the mid-summer classic between the all-stars of the American League and National League. The game was held on July 10 at the Polo Grounds. The game is well known among baseball fans for the performance of NL starting pitcher Carl Hubbell. After allowing the first two batters to reach base, Hubbell struck out five of the game's best hitters - Babe Ruth, Lou Gehrig, Jimmie Foxx, Al Simmons and Joe Cronin - in succession, setting a longstanding All-Star Game record for consecutive strikeouts. “National League Ball” signed by 12 members of the 1934 All-Star team including Babe Ruth (sweet spot), Lou Gehrig, Mel Ott, Jimmie Foxx, Charles Ruffing (signed twice), Chas Gehringer, Al Lopez, Sam West, Al Simmons, Van Mungo, Mel Harder and Lon Warneke. All signatures are done in blue steel tip fountain pen rating an overall 6. The ball is heavily toned, accompanied by a LOA from JSA as well as an additional LOA.
