This item originated from the personal collection of Thurman Munson. 2” x 4-1/4” ribbon award that reads “Worley Playground - JUNIOR BOYS CITY CHAMPIONS - THURMAN MUNSON - SOFTBALL - 1960 - RECREATION DEPT. CANTON CITY SCHOOL DISTRICT”. Adjacent to the left is a 10” x 13” black and white photo of Munson behind the plate in pinstripes during a home game against the Kansas City Royals. The award is in EX condition and is the earliest known Munson award. Accompanied by a LOA from Diana Munson.
