This is probably the finest Butterfinger set known to exist. Our card experts have yet to see anything better. These premiums that measure 7-3/4” x 9-1/2” are black and white and were offered as a premium for Butterfinger and other candies. They are on light paper stock and feature photos of many players that did not appear elsewhere. Sixty five players are included in the set with the key premiums being Ruth, Gehrig and Walter Johnson. In all there are 24 HOFers featured. Because of the light paper stock used, it is very unusual to find these premiums in such fine condition. It took our consignor nearly 40 years to accumulate the set in this outstanding condition. EX+ to EXMT overall. Dean EXMT, Dickey EX+, Foxx (Spelling incorrect version “Fox”, more rare) EX+. Gehrig EXMT, Grove EXMT, W. Johnson slight paper loss still nice eye appeal, Ott EXMT, Ruth EXMT. We were told by our card experts that anything over VG on this set is remarkable.
