Jerry Rice is a three-time Super Bowl Champion, a thirteen-time Pro Bowl selection and was elected to the Hall of Fame in 2010. In 1995, Rice caught a career-high 122 passes for a then-NFL record 1,848 receiving yards and 15 touchdowns (along with 1 touchdown each by way of running, passing, and recovering a fumble). This helmet was worn on October 15, 1995 in a week 6 matchup vs the Indianapolis Colts in which Rice caught career touchdown pass #146! “Riddell” manufactured “VSR-4” helmet with team “SF” logo on each side. Player number “80” appears inside the left ear hole on red Dynotape. At the rear of the helmet is the official “NFL” decal as well as the size “L” decal. The chin strap and all inner padding including ear pads are intact. The clips on front both have the year “94” on them. There are several scuffs atop the dome. The helmet was presented to us as game-used and in our opinion shows heavy use. Accompanied by a miss-dated LOA from the 49ers former equipment manager as well as a high-resolution digital photograph of Rice wearing this very helmet.
