This shirt was worn by Andy Dalton on January 5, 2013 during the wild card round of the 2013 NFL Playoffs. Dalton, a TCU alumni and Texas native who grew up just 30 miles from Houston, returned to his hometown to face the Texans at Reliant Stadium. Dalton had previously won three games played at Reliant Stadium in high school and as a TCU Horned Frog. After being named a team captain several weeks earlier, Dalton led the Bengals back to the playoffs for the for the 2nd time in as many pro seasons. The Bengals fell just short against J.J. Watt and a relentless Texans defense that thoroughly stained this jersey, even inside. The tails of this shirt have been cut straight across the bottom and re-hemmed inside. Inside the rear collar is the “Nike” manufacturer’s tag with “44 On Field Skill”. Attached is a flag tag with “2012”. Above is the “Bengals Pro Shop” attached tag. Player number “14” appears on the front and back in orange on black tackle twill and on both shoulders in white on black tackle twill. Player name “DALTON” appears across the back in white on black tackle twill on an orange nameplate. The sleeves are custom with an elastic spandex hem and each feature the Nike swoosh. At the V-neck is the “NFL Equipment” rubberized logo shield with adjacent team “B” logo. At the right chest is the Captain’s “C” with one star embroidered in gold. The jersey is properly tagged, was presented to us as game-used and in our opinion, shows outstanding use. Other than what is mentioned, there appear to be no further alterations of any kind.

Please note that a correction and/or update has been made to this lot and the printed catalog differs from what is online.
