Dan Issel was an outstanding collegian at the University of Kentucky, he was twice named an All American en route to a still school record 25.7 points per game. The ABA Rookie of the Year in 1971, he was a six-time ABA All-Star and one-time NBA pick. Hall of Fame, Class of 1993. On the front left tail is the "Powers Mfg. Co." manufacturer’s tag with size “46”. Adjacent is the "3" L-B" tag. Across the front is "Denver" in white on yellow tackle twill. On both the front and on back is the player number "44” done in the same tackle twill. Across the back is the player name "ISSEL" done in white tackle twill block letters, atypical name sewn directly on back. On the right shoulder strap is a green and black armband in support of the Atlanta incident. On the rear inner waistband of the matching shorts is the faded “Powers” tag with attached “Powers L” flag tag. Adjacent is player number “44” written in black marker. On the right leg is the “NBA 35th Anniversary” patch and on the left leg is the team “Miner” patch. The uniform is properly tagged, was presented to us as game-used and in our opinion, shows excellent use.
