The "50 Greatest Players in NBA History" were selected by a blue-ribbon panel of media, former players and coaches, current and former general managers and team executives. The announcement was made at a press luncheon in New York City in 1996 by NBA Commissioner David Stern. The collective accomplishments of these stars is beyond comprehension: 107 NBA championship rings, over 400 NBA All-Star Game selections, 49 MVP's, 17 Rookies of the Year, 36 scoring titles and nearly one million points scored. Robert Parish was presented this ring after he was selected as a member of this elite group. This size 12.5, 14k gold players ring weighs 46 grams. The top panel reads “NBA GREATEST PLAYERS” around the perimeter surrounding a silver basketball in the center with “50” in relief. The left panel features a banner engraved with the player name “PARISH” above the casted image of the official NBA “50 Greatest” logo and a smaller banner with Parish’s number “00”. The right panel features the official NBA logo in relief with “1946” and “1996” adjacent to the left and right in relief. The inside of the ring is stamped “LGB 14K”. The ring is in MINT condition and comes in the original wooden presentation box. Accompanied by a LOA from Robert Parish picturing him with the ring.
