Julius Erving, the great and wondrous "Dr. J," was the dominant player of his era, an innovator who changed the way the game was played. Erving was one of the first players to make extemporaneous individual expression an integral part of the game, setting the style of play that would prevail in the decades to follow. Dr. J was a true ambassador for the game. NBA Top 50 Player, Hall of Fame Class of 1993. On the left front tail is the “Wilson” manufacturer’s tag with wash instructions and jersey size “40”. Attached is a flag tag with “3” Longer”. Across the front is “SIXERS”. Player number “6” appears on both the front and back. All these numbers and letters are done in blue on red tackle twill. Player name “ERVING” appears across the back in blue tackle twill. Erving has signed the front in black marker rating a 6-7. The jersey is properly tagged, was presented to us as game-used and in our opinion, shows appropriate use. Accompanied by a LOA from JSA as well as a LOA signed by Julius Erving (secretarial) from his National Hemophilia Foundation charity dated July 22, 1981.
