WBA World Championship Belt dating to 1985 when Tony “TNT” Tubbs defeated Greg Page to become the WBA Heavyweight Champ. The black leather belt measures 42” and weighs 4 lbs. The belt sports an ornate gold-colored center plate that features a crown at the top that has been decorated with approximately 85 synthetic rubies and diamonds. Several of the synthetic rubies have fallen out of their setting. The crown is held onto the center plate by two rivets, one of which has cracked the corner of the crown plate. The centerplate also features a globe background, two boxing gloves, the WBA official logo enameled in red and white. Adjacent to the left and right are two four-inch medallions with crowns at the top. The left medallion has been autographed by Tubbs along with the added incscription, “1985 WBC CHAMPION”. The signature is done in black marker and rates a 8 overall. The right medallion reads “I BEAT GREG PAGE TO WIN THIS BELT IN 1985”, also in black marker. The verso of the belt features red velvet padding. The belt buckle reads “OFFICIAL valentino original” in relief along with the casted image of the WBA globe logo. The belt is in VG condition and is accompanied by a photo of Tubbs with the belt as well as a LOA from JSA for the signature.
