These fight worn gloves and shoes originate from the personal collection of Leo Richardson, corner man to Aaron Pryor on March 1, 1978 for the fight vs. Ron Pettagrew. Pair of “TUFWEAR” manufactured red boxing gloves with “8” stamped inside each. The right glove has been signed by Pryor in black marker adding the inscription “My Fight Worn Gloves” rating an 8. The left glove dons just his signature in black marker rating an 8-9. The gloves are sans laces. Pair of “PONY” white high top boxing shoes with blue trim. Each has been signed by Pryor in blue marker adding the inscription “HOF 96 Fight Worn” that shows heavy bleeding. One inscription reads “Fight Worn Shoes”. The gloves and shoes were presented to us as fight worn and in our opinion, show excellent use. Accompanied by a LOA from JSA. Further accompanied by a photo of Pryor signing the gloves as well as a fight program listing the fight on “March 1” as the undercard for “Sugar Ray Leonard vs. Art McKnight”. It also lists “Leo Richardson II (Richardson's son)” as “Ring Side Staff – Gloves”, as these gloves originate from his collection.
