This trophy measures 13” x 9” x 12” and weighs 14 lbs. It was presented to Larry Holmes on June 5, 1997 by the Downtown Athletic Club. The trophy features a ceramic boxer sitting on a bench with his headgear, enameled in black and gold. The verso of the sculpture has been engraved to read “WESTART 93 ©”. The wooden base measures 13” x 9” x 3” and features a plaque engraved to read, “THE DOWNTOWN ATHLETIC CLUB” PRESENTED THE GERRY COONEY “LEGENDS OF BOXING” AWARD TO LARRY HOLMES, “THE EASTON ASSASSIN” - JUNE 5, 1997”. The trophy is in EX condition with some slight cracking on the back of the sculpture. This lot will require additional shipping and handling charges due to size, weight and fragility.
