The shoes offered here were worn by Larry Holmes in preparation for his fight vs. Alfredo Evangelista on November 10, 1978 at Caesars Palace in Las Vegas. It would be Holmes’ first title defense after defeating Ken Norton for the WBC Heavyweight title five months earlier. Holmes won the fight after knocking Evangelista out in the 7th round to retain his title. “EVERLAST” manufactured boxing shoes, no laces are present. The “EVERLAST” manufacturers tag appears on the upper outer ankle of each shoe with “7/9/78” written above in black marker. The “Choice of Champions” flag tag is located below. Larry Holmes has signed each of the shoes in black marker with the signatures rating a 8 overall. Accompanied by a LOA from JSA.
