The boxing trunks offered here were worn by Larry Holmes, “The Easton Assassin”, during the July 7, 1980 world heavyweight championship fight versus “The Fighting Frenchman”, Scott LeDoux. Holmes won by TKO in the 7th round of the 15-round bout. It was Holmes’ seventh consecutive successful title defense and the victory brought his professional record to 35-0. With the stoppage of LeDoux, Holmes tied Joe Louis' record of winning seven straight title defenses by knockout. White “EVERLAST” manufactured boxing trunks with red trim. “EVERLAST” manufacturers tag appears on the front waistband. On the front left leg is the “LARRY HOLMES” disc patch. On the front right leg is “SASSON” embroidered in red chain stitch along with a disc patch also in red chain stitch embroidery. “SASSON” is also embroidered in white chain stitch along the red trim on both of the outer legs. The trunks are in EX condition, they are properly tagged, were presented to us as fight-worn and show appropriate wear. Accompanied by a photomatch to the LeDoux fight.
