These items originated from the personal collection of Larry Costello, former player and coach in the NBA for over 25 years. Costello was the first coach of the Milwaukee Bucks, he guided them to an NBA Championship in 1971. Included in this lot is a hand-written letter from Costello’s father, written shortly after he learned of Larry’s decision to retire from playing to start his coaching career. Notebook given to players on the 1969-70 Milwaukee Bucks with Costello’s offensive and defensive concepts, play diagrams and team philosophies.
