8” x 10” sepia-toned wire photo of Gil Hodges taking a swing in his Brooklyn Dodgers uniform. Hodges has signed the photo along with an inscription to Jack Lang. The inscription reads, “To A Great Guy Named Jack, Best Wishes Always, Gil Hodges”. The signature is done in blue ballpoint pen and rates a 7 overall. The verso of the photos features various markings typical of wire photos: a red stamp that reads “SUNDAY SPORTS” along with “2col 2/9/52 Gil Hodges” in pencil, “Gil Hodges, who never made it” in type ink, and a black stamp from “BROOKLYN NATIONAL LEAGUE BASEBALL CLUB”. The photo is in VG condition, accompanied by a LOA from JSA.
