Richie “Dick” Allen was the 1972 AL MVP, 1964 National League Rookie of the Year, a seven-time All-Star and two-time home run champion. He put up one of the top rookie seasons in MLB history, ranking first in runs, triples, extra base hits and total bases. On the center front tail is a “McAuliffe Uniform Corp.” manufacturer’s tag. Below is a size “42” tag. Below that is a “1977” tag attached to a tag with washing instructions. On the center chest area is a “A’s” logo in green on white tackle twill. Across the back reads “WAMPUM” in green tackle twill sewn directly onto the jersey, which is referring to the Wampum Wallowers to honor his high school, homeroom teacher and graduating class. Below is player number “60” in green on white tackle twill. Allen personally gave this to our consignor when he was released. This jersey is properly tagged, was presented to us as game-used and in our opinion shows appropriate use.
