“The Iron Man” Cal Ripken, Jr. passed Lou Gehrig’s record for most consecutive games played in 1995. The World Series champion won the AL MVP two times and was a 19-time All-Star. Inside the front left tail is a “Rawlings” size “48” manufacturer’s tag with washing instructions. Attached are two flag tags that read “SET 2 1990” and “EXTRA LENGTH”. Across the chest reads “ORIOLES”. Player number “8” appears on both the front and the back. Across the back reads “RIPKEN” sewn onto an orange nameplate. All lettering and numbering are done in black on white tackle twill. The right sleeve reads “Rawlings” in white stitching. Ripken, Jr. signed the jersey on the front right chest area below the team name “ORIOLES” in black pen rating an 8. This jersey is properly tagged, was presented to us as game-used and in our opinion shows appropriate use. Accompanied by an LOA from JSA.
