Inducted to the Baseball Hall of Fame in 2010, Andre Dawson burst onto the MLB scene winning the NL Rookie of the Year in 1977 and the NL MVP in 1987. In 1982, Dawson was voted to the All-Star Team and won a Gold Glove Award. On the rear inside collar is a “Rawlings” size “44” manufacturer’s tag with washing instructions. On the inner front left tail is a “82 1 DAWSON” strip tag. On the inner front right tail is a “SET 1 1982” tag. The front left chest has an “M” logo patch in red, white and blue tackle twill. Below reads “EXPOS”. The front right chest and on the back shows player number “10”. Across the back reads “DAWSON”. All are done in the same red tackle twill sewn directly onto the jersey. On the left shoulder is the original white 1982 All-Star Game disc patch, embroidered in red and blue. It is rare to see one of these patches fully intact. There’s a floating set tag on the inside button flap. This jersey is properly tagged, was presented to us as game-used and in our opinion shows appropriate use. This is one of the best early Dawson jerseys from the prime of his career we have seen.
