Elected to the National Baseball Hall of Fame in 1980, Duke Snider won two World Series championships with the Brooklyn and Los Angeles Dodgers and was a eight-time All-Star selection. Between 1953-1956, Snider averaged 42 home runs, 124 RBI, 123 runs and a .320 batting average. After one year of military service in 1945, Snider was signed to the minor league Fort Worth Cats. Inside the rear collar is a “Spalding” manufacturer’s tag. Attached is a size “42” flag tag. On the front left tail is a “C & S Sporting Goods Co.” distributor’s tag. Across the front reads “FORT WORTH”. On the back is player number “4”. Both are done in the same navy blue felt sewn directly onto the flannel jersey. There’s a navy blue line trim around the neck, sleeves and down the center button path. This jersey is properly tagged, was presented to us as game-used and in our opinion shows appropriate use. This jersey is accompanied by a photo of Snider in 1946, which Heritage Auctions deemed to be an exact photomatch. Accompanied by an additional LOA.
