The player number “5” is stamped into the knob and traced in black marker. The date of manufacture “6/28/10”, length “4” and weight “1.8” are stamped above and below. Ball/hit marks can be found on the left and back barrel. Cleat marks are visible on the right, left and back barrel. Also visible on the bat is an impression from a weighted batting sleeve. There is a heavy coat of pine tar on the handle. The mark visible on the handle identifies the face grain of the bat; this is a mandatory marking, per Major League Baseball, for all maple bats since 2009. Pujols has signed the front barrel in silver marker with the added inscription “Game Used” and his player number “5”, rates a 9. MLB Hologram #293643 FJ appears adjacent to the right with the Pujols Hologram #00099 below. The bat exhibits evidence of extraordinary use. It is accompanied by a LOA from PSA/DNA grading the bat a 10. Further accompanied by a LOA from the Albert Pujols Family Foundation as well as a LOA from JSA for the signature.
