Just one year removed from his 24-win, Cy Young season, Doc's incredible performance on the bump pushed the Mets to just their second World Series victory. Gooden’s right-handed, tan leather with tan lacing Spalding XP-600 mitt. On the back of the hand is the blue Spalding manufacturer’s tag. The number “16” is written in black marker in three places: Wrist, outside of pinky finger and inside wrist. The word “SPARE” in green pen is on the top wrist which indicates that this was possibly one of Doc's back-up mitts and used sparingly. "Dwight Gooden" in green pen on the outside of the thumb with added inscription “R.O.Y. 84 CY 85” rating a 6-7, which JSA is inconclusive on. This glove is properly tagged, was presented to us as game-used and shows good game-use and appears to have no alterations of any kind.
