Tin Pan lyricist Jack Norworth’s inspiration passing a sign that read “Baseball Today—Polo Grounds” turned into the most universally recognized song from America’s greatest pastime. This is a 27” x 23 ¾” framed display of the handwritten, signed lyrics to his famous 1908 baseball anthem, “Take Me Out To The Ballgame”, penned and signed by lyricist Jack Norworth. This is the only hand written lyric we have ever seen or heard of. Included in the display is a signed photo of Norworth in black pen rating a 7 and sheet music that reads “THE SENSATIONAL BASE BALL SONG - TAKE ME OUT - TO THE - BALL - GAME - WORDS BY - JACK NORWORTH -MUSIC BY - ALBERT VON TILZER”. For decades this anthem has been traditionally sung during the seventh inning stretch at every major ballpark. In 2010, the Library of Congress added the song to the National recording Registry as their annual selection representing song that are culturally, historically, or aesthetically significant. Accompanied by a full LOA from JSA.

We have recently been informed that this is second known example of “Take Me Out To The Ball Game” and that the only other known version resides in The National Baseball Hall of Fame and Museum in Cooperstown NY.
