The Syracuse Stars joined the International Association for the 1878 season a year before moving to the National League. This 6” x 4” 1878 Syracuse Stars team photo lists the position players on the back: “ Dorgan, McKinnon, Farrell, Carpenter, Mack, Hotaling, Mansell, Macullar and Adams. The photographer inscription reads “P.S. RYDER, - PHOTOGRAPHER -72 SOUTH SALINA STREET, - SYRACUSE, N.Y.” along with “STARS-1978 - CHAMPIONS OF THE - UNITED STATES” on the back bottom of the photo. VG-condition but shows well for photo over 130 years old.
