This ring was made to commemorate two of Muhammad Ali’s greatest fights: 1974’s “Rumble In The Jungle” versus George Foreman and the 10th anniversary of Ali’s heavyweight championship victory over Sonny Liston in 1964. These rings were given to members of Ali’s entourage camp, this one was likely presented to George Wells. This size 11.5, 14k gold ring weighs 25 grams. The top panel reads “WORLD CHAMPION” surrounding a Muslim star and crescent with a large 2-carat round-cut Moissanite synthetic diamond atop a red synthetic stone. The left panel reads “WELLS” above the casted image of a boxing glove, “ALI TKO LISTON 6” and “1964”. The right panel reads “MUHAMMAD ALI” above a shield, “ALI KO FOREMAN 8”, laurel leaves and “1974”. The inside of the ring is stamped “10K ©” along with the Josten’s “J”. The ring is in NRMT condition.
